After upgrading FME Server versions and running workspaces which have an FMEServerJobSubmitter, the parent job runs but hangs after the child workspace enters the queue. The 'Wait for Job to Complete' is set to yes, shouldn't this start the child process running at the same time?

Hi,I have scoured the knowledge base, YouTube etc. and I can't find an answer to my question. I have a DWG file that contains polygons and associated labels. I would like to be able to make the labels attributes of a file geodatabase feature class. From my searching I've found spatial filter but not all of the label points are located in the polygon in question. Below is one of the relevant screenshots. I only need the Dev Parcel and not the area.Thank you.

Hi,As my alter-ego "lifalin2016" i brazenly proclaimed in a post in June that "I have the multiple OUTPUT tags option covered". This is unfortunately not really the case (anymore).The PythonFactory documentation clearly states, that multiple output tags are possible (as in the "[...]*" notation), but I get an error when using them: "The clause 'OUTPUT PYOUTPUT ...' is incorrect.  The OUTPUT PYOUTPUT clause is already specified". I assume the doc is faulty then.It's then back to a single output + a number of TeeFactory's. I seem to remember this being mentioned by one of y'all at some point, but I can't seem to locate it anywhere :-/Unfortunately my experience with factories is limited, but here's my best shot (using an attribute named "___output_type___" to route features to the output tags SUCCEEDED and FAILED. But no features are output :-(# after PythonFactoryFACTORY_DEF * TeeFactory   FACTORY_NAME $(XFORMER_NAME)_Splitter1   INPUT FEATURE_TYPE * ___output_type___ 1   OUTPUT FEATURE

I see that the frs files created when saving Raster to ffs consume a lot of space. e.g. a 2Mb Tiff file with 10000x10000px results in 400Mb of frs.I tried different compression settings for ffs, but this doesn't seem to influence frs handling.I really would need to keep the frs smaller and wonder if there is any existing or planned possibilty for this.Thanks Michael

Hi Guys,I have excel table with Road Names. There is a column that contains Names of all the streets and there are instances where they are repeating number of times. I tried using Testfilter to parse out the Roads that I am interested in but it didnt work for me. I am wondering what is the best way to go about doing this in FME.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

We are using 2016.1 (Build 16492) and I noticed that we no longer have the option to rollback on failure with the AGOL writer. Is this enabled by default or is it something that got removed purposely?

Hi folks,I have a an expression that works beautifully in the ExpressionEvaluator. I was hoping to use this in he AttributeManager as I wanted to do a similar thing to many fields and use conditionals, I tried many things and the expression never seems to work out with AttributeManager.((@Value(SCORE)/20)*@Value(LOADING))+@Value(SCORE)I tried changing to @div, @mult, and @add maths functions but they didn't get me any closer to the actionwhere am I going wrong :S  Thanks in advance!

Hi All, I have an SDF file with multiple geometries. When reading in Workbench, I do not find a way to select the GEOM_2D0 column. See scrrenshot.Anyone who knows a workaround?

I have 2 datasets one has been loaded into a enterprise database and then exported with the object_id of the enterprise database. I am trying to spatially join this object_id back to the original data. The problem I am having is that the process of loaded and then exporting the data has changed the coordinates slightly. See images below. I am wondering if there is any way of manipulating the coordinates of the features (ie truncating some or all of the digits after the decimal) So that I can use the spatialrelator with the EQUALS test. I have some polygons that are with in polygons so buffering and using WITHIN as some other posts have suggested would not be ideal.Polygon APolygon B

Hi,I am facing a problem while writing into a csv.file:FME converts the string '2-4' into 02.Apr., no matter what field type is set.E.g. '17-19' remains as it is since it cannot be changed to a date Format.Is there any smart Workaround or do I have to avoid/replace these strings?

HiI'm having trouble using connections to SQL Server since upgrading FME server to 2017. I'd like to use windows authentication, and got this working on 2016.1 by changing the account that one of the FME services ran as (using a service account), and giving that service account access to my database. I've tried this in 2017 and it doesn't seem to work - it stops various parts of FME Server from working properlyAlso I can't seem to find any documentation for FME Server 2017. Hello,Im new to FME, I can't find the solution to this problem in the knowledge base.Im trying to count the purple horizontal lines in the picture as following: 5, 10, 15, 25 etc. I think this can be achieved with the counter transformer.But when the underlying vertical line feature changes the counter has to reset. Any advice would be of great help.

Hi,I´m trying to extract data using an ArcGIS Server Feature service reader which is going okay. For some of the layers I´m getting the following error:Python Exception <UnicodeDecodeError>: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xe5 in position 10: ordinal not in range(128)I´m guessing the problem relates to some characters in the tabel of the layer which can´t be read by the ArcGIS reader? Or could the problem relates to the transformer being programmed in Python 2 instead of Python 3 (which i´ve been told is handling encoding-problems better)?I only need the geometries (and the layer names), so is there a way for me just to be able to read the those?If that´s not possible is there a way for me to encode the tables so that I wont get the error-message?Thanks in advance :) Christian

Hi - I'm reading in one Esri File Geodatabase using the ArcObjects Reader (not the open source API reader) and writing out another with a subset of the data in it. The Writer uses a 'Reader as a Resource' to control the schema dynamically and also uses an empty Geodatabase with the same schema as a template file, to ensure that featureclasses that are sent no features by FME still exist (but are empty) in the exported FGDB.My problem is that I am getting a warning that I can't engineer out of the process:WARN  |User field name 'OBJECTID' conflicts with value of feature type parameter 'Object ID Field' ('OBJECTID') for table/feature class 'd_y_n59'.  User field will be ignoredThis appears for every featureclass I'm trying to write, so 105.I know that the incoming data has the OBJECTID and I know that the FGDB needs to create it. On my dynamic writer the FeatureType sets the field and the alias to 'OBJECTID' by default. I'm pretty confident that the result is good, even with the warnings
