With the original readers / writers you could control reader / writer order in the Navigator to upgrade performance.But in a workflow with only FeatureReaders I have a data table being read completely before the lookup table starts to read. This causes all my datafeatures collected at a FeatureMerger before the lookuptable is read.Any way to do this?

I have many polygons containing many points and polygons can overlap. I need to create an output that will contain as many polygon records as their are points inside. That way I can compare the attributes of the polygon with the attributes of all the points inside. I am using SpatialRelator with the polygons as the Requestor and the Points as the Supplier. Then a Listexploder, but the output of the point attributes are scrambled.

How to convert OSM data to 3D buildings using FME

Hello,I'm writing out to a text file with Line Termination: Windows. But when I open the text file in Notepad++, the end of line is Unix, except the last line which is Windows:25.000000000000 LF0.000000000000 LF0.000000000000 LF-25.000000000000 LF400012.5 LF1299987.5 CRLFI also checked in TextPad - that's showing "Unknown" end of line. When I open the text file in Notepad, the line breaks are ignored:25.000000000000 0.000000000000 0.000000000000 -25.000000000000 400012.5 1299987.5 Could you please help me?Thanks

I have 4 linear features that are all parallel from eachother, and set at unequal spacing from eachother. Hello Users, Attached the Workspace with the transformer PythonCaller. This transformer receive the attributes from Souce Data ( list values ) and generate two new Attributes to each list value : initial and final. This is Works fine.  So now i need to create 4 news attributes to each list values: Initial_even, End_even, Initial_odd and End_odd. I have a PythonCaller with an input function as usual. In this function, I have a list to update.myList = [toto, tata] if cond1:  myList.remove(toto) logger1  myList.append(momo) logger2 if cond2: myList.remove(tata) logger3 myList.append(mama) logger4So, I want to obtain at last, myList = [momo, mama] But, if I check the loggers :  logger1 : [tata] (all right) logger2 : [tata, momo] (still all right) logger3 : [toto] (as if the list reseted) logger4 : [toto, mama] (so not quite good)I think the problem come from the fact that I have two objects coming in the FME project. Is that right?How can I save the first change?Am I missing something?

I'm trying to create a series of attributes based on values of other attributes (I have some FieldName/FieldAttribute combos that I want to turn into attributes on the feature). When I create an attribute called @Value(FieldName), anything I output to the Data Inspector won't show. It just shows ? row(s) and doesn't load anything. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Hi , I'm trying to assign a level to the output ( Microstation V8) give a input in arcmap , I'm doing it with schemaMapper and filterAttribute ( To direction to correct geometry the input). In function of the input value (Filter Attribute in options schemaMapper) of arcmap attribute I assign a level with the option new attribute of schemaMapper. Finally I assign with map Feature types to direction to correct geometry , but don't assign me the level to the output V8 , always assign the same level ( A incorrect level) and doesn't look in the table of excel of the schema mapper.Anybody knows if there is any problem with this configuration of the schema Mapper and the Attributefilter ????.Thanks in advanced , regards !!

How can I calculate a more accurate line length using a DEM?

I'm very new to FME and would like to use it to migrate ArcGIS geodatabase feature classes from one geodatabase schema to another. I'm trying to teach myself but am having a little trouble with the terminology in the FME documentation. For instance, it seems to me that the word "attribute" is used in place of "field", at least some of the time. Can someone confirm that's the case? Since I work with GIS data, to me the word "attribute" refers to values in a field, not the field itself, so I am sometimes confused. I need to understand the terminology FME is using but I haven't found an index or dictionary of terms in the FME documentation so far. If one exists I'd be grateful to anyone who can point me to it. First let me say that I'm extremely new to fme environment.I have a shape file that have lines with or without elevation. My problem is that i need to separate these 2D lines, and to set the elevation base on 1 attributes in the feature and also export the other 2D lines that has the very same attribute null.These 2 types of lines need to be exported separately.In one export i need to export all 3D features (including the original 3D and the one that i created with the attribute value) and in the other one only the feature that has no elevation

I am using a C# REST service call to start a workspace. Passing the notification directives in the body.The notification subscription is setup with the PUSH service call. Basically, the subscription makes a service call when the workspace is failed or successful. When I published the workspace, with JobSubmitter, I made sure the right writer output is selected to be included in the service call, but the writer output will be included only if I run that workspace from WebUI, not with the service call. Is there a directive\\parameter that I can use in the initial service call to tell the notification to include the writer content in the notification body?Any thoughts?

Hi,I am encountering issues with downloading data via an HTTP call, sometimes it get's downloaded and sometimes not. Dear FME community,I have created measures on a line geometry (thanks to @takashi, your tips are very helpful!). For every vertex the measures are attached to the geometry. In my attribute table, I have a column of the original measures.For example: A line is 1000 metres long. In the attribute table there is a column "beginning station" with the value 0, and a column "end station" with the value 800. The resulting line which I want to get should therefore be only 800m long, starting from point 0. If it would start at 400 and go to 800, the line would then only be 400m long.I have calculated the measures, but how can I split the line on the measures I want, e.g. 800? Is there a way to create points on these locations, so that I can intersect them with the original line?Every help is appreciated! Many thanks.Kind regardsThomas

I have a workspace that reads data out of SQL Spatial, reprojects it and inserts it into a series of ArcSDE featureclasses. It runs perfectly fine in workbench, however after publishing it to FME Server and running it I received the above error. As well, there was a warning Library 'C:\\Program Files\\FMEServer\\Server\\fme\\plugins/FME_ADO.dll' was found but could not be loaded. Ensure that all the dependent modules exist for this library. Hello,I've got an Excel sheet like the following and I simply like to map an Attribute in my FME workbench.My workbench looks like:And my AttributeValueMapper Parameters are:In my example the value in FEATURE (AttributeCreator) is inside of the Excel sheet but as result I always get the standard value, not the value I'd like to be mapped.In Excel the cells are formated as text since there are also alphanumerical values.Hope someone may help here.btw: How do I prevent the file upload here to add the path of my files to the filename as prefix?

I am going to use FME to run finalisation on ortophoto projects. Two of the three products require TIFF to be part of final delivery. One require simple uncompressed, non-tiled files. Easy. And fast enough too. The issue I am facing is that one product require both tiling (this can be set in the GeoTIFF-writer) AND views (aka. internal image pyramid). I had a look at the RasterPyramider-transformer, but external raster pyramid tiles is not at all what I am looking for. I see in the Knowledge Center that internal image pyramiding was planned by Safe back in 2012, so I suspect I am missing something here. Does anyone have experience in similar issues, and able to give me a hand? If Safe haven't finished their internal pyramiding initiative yet, does anyone have an alternative I can have a go at?
