We are using 2016.1 (Build 16492) and I noticed that we no longer have the option to rollback on failure with the AGOL writer. Is this enabled by default or is it something that got removed purposely?

Hi @runneals,

The 'Rollback On Failure' parameter on the ArcGIS Online writer was removed when we added the Advanced Parameter 'Features Per Request' (for more information on this parameter, please see https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_ReadersWriters/arcgisonlinefeatures/arcgisonlinefeatures_writer.htm" target="_blank">our documentation page for the AGOL Writer). If we retained the 'Rollback On Failure' option, the 'rollback' effectively would only operate on the last request. This behaviour is misleading and not representative of an actual (true/full) rollback which is why the option was removed. If you have any additional questions or concerns please reply to this comment, or email us at support@safe.com

Kind Regards,

Annabelle

Ahh, that makes sense, but it's annoying if you truncate a feature collection and it errors out in the middle of writing. Guess they couldn't be integrated together.
