Does FME have a transformer for "hiding", as opposed to "removing" an attribute? I am using the FeatureReader to dynamically read a feature class that is specified by parameter. This script is then called for many feature classes. The attributes of any one feature class are thus not exposed.However, for some features I need to access the ID field of the feature class, for example, "FID". I do this by an AttributeExposer in a custom transformer that is only called for a particular feature class. But I don't want the ID field to carry on as an attribute when it is time to write the feature class to the output table. It would be great if I could then "un-expose", or "hide" the attribute, back to the level of visibility it had when I used the feature reader. Is it possible?

I have the following root template in an XMLTemplater:Where {fme:process-features("FEATURE_CLASSES") occurs I want to insert the following subtemplate within the sequence elements, grouped by an attribute so that it repeats according to how many feature classes I have:The result, however, loses the nesting and leaves elements retreating to the root element level - the subtemplates start inserting at row 6 with the first element showing in the correct position:What can I do to avoid this, or is it just a case of using a separate templater for the subtypes and then appending them into the root in an XMLAppender?

I want to use a regular expression to extract the earliest year, in this case it would be 1890. Is this possible?

I am trying to publish workspaces via the REST api. Ideally I would like to programmatically get the workspaces dependencies before publishing to make sure the resources are on the server. When I manually publish via Desktop I get a warning about dependencies, I would like to access this info before publishing with REST. I am making the REST calls with Python so if I had a way to get the dependencies with Python that would be real neat.

I have a dataset with a name field and an index field which is in order. I want to output a shapefile that orders the FID numbers like so in order but I can't figure out how to output the file without it randomnly assigning any number as the FID. I am having issues dissolving large sets of data, the Dissolver works fine and achieves the results I would expect but when I increase the number of data going in the process becomes painfully slow and often results in a crash because of memory.

Hi,I've tried to facilitate using the SpatialRelator with the "Input Ordered" set to "By group". And set the "Group By" value to a common attribute.I sorted both my Requester and Supplier inputs by the same value. But even though the log file shows the expected groups, all groups have no matches (typically "0 BASE(s)").Please advise as to how this functionality is supposed to work.I got the process running by setting "Input Ordered" to "no" (keeping the "Group By"), but I think that this is not as efficient.Cheers.

To explain my question further, I have a point cloud with x, y, z and the fourth column is a componentID (after having done connected components) I have a text file which consists of a string of component ID values.I am trying to filter the point cloud based on the number of component ID values in my text file. I am trying the basic method by filtering the point cloud based on the value of the component but I keep getting the following error PointCloudFilter(PointCloudEvaluationFactory): Attribute 'C1' is specified in an expression but is not present on the feature. Hi,Faced with having to handle multiple large datasets (5M+ features), I'm looking into whether I can improve performance. I just had one of these dataset crash after 12 hours !The task is matching any source data set (only) spatially with a data set of buffered municipalities, and so there are no common attributes. I.e., no possible values for "Group By". Any source feature could possibly end of in any number of municipalities.Is it possible to get a performance boost under these circumstances ? When using the GridInquest11Reprojector to project data from irish grid to ETRS89 Geodetic the following fatal error occurs "Source coordinate system 'Irish Grid' cannot reproject to destination coordinate system 'ETRS89 Geodetic', either 'Out of Area' coordinates or invalid coordinate system parameters Reprojector: Reprojection failed" This doesn't happen when reprojecting the same data set using the GridInquestReprojector. [Software ArcCatalog 10.3 with Data Interoperability] I have a group landxml files that I coerced into polygon shapes, performed some text editing (i.e. extraction), and then filtered into two different workflows. These files include an attribute for the parcel numbers (Name)I also have a group of excel spreadsheets that contain the information about these polygons, and were modified by attribute split and some string replacement. They also include a column for the parcel numbers (Parcel_list) that was created through the modification.Using the FeatureMerger, the Excel table was brought into the supplier port, and the polygons into the requestor port. The parameters have the correct Requestor and Supplier attributes and I compared the two columns to confirm the information matches. Merge parameters include merge type = "attributes and geometry".
