Two geometries with different numbers of vertices are equal for ChangeDetector

One feature has 40 vertices and the other 41, but ChangeDetector using “Lenient Geometry Matching” option says they are the same. It's right?

How to merge two workflows from the same Defragmenter

Hello.I have a JSON file the looks roughly like this, containing a list of un-named values:{ [ { “UniqueID”:123446, “Dealership”:”Dan’s Dodge”, “Owner”:”Dan”, “BestSelling”: [ “blue”, “red”, “blue”, ... “red” ] ... “Telephone”:”411” }, ... ]}My first JSONFragmenter feeds two workflows: the first workflow captures the named values (including “UniqueID”), and the second workflow immediately discards everything but “UniqueID” and the JSON from the first JSONFragmenter and then uses a JSONFragmenter to turn the JSON list into Features. Finally, a FeatureJoiner that adds to each newly-minted Feature an Attribute containing the appropriate name for its unnamed value. Now it’s time to FeatureMerge the new Attributes back into the first workflow by matching on “UniqueID”.Alas, the newly-assigned names are stored in the same Attribute of each JSON-list Feature. So, after FeatureMerger merges the first Feature,

FME Through Task scheduler Using Local service

I want to Run FME process through task schedeuler. The fme workspace is reading data through postgresql. I am able to run it through any specified user. I want to run this through LOCAL SERVICE in Task scheduler.But it is showing error. My 0objective is the process become independent of user Error connecting to PostgreSQL database(host='', port='', dbname='abc', user='', password='***'): 'fe_sendauth: no password supplied Thanks

Removing .cab files after installation?

Trying to free up some space on our existing FME Flow server and noticed that there is a folder on the root C: named “FME” that have various FME installations folders. In each of those folders, there is .cab and other installation (.msi, .exe, .log) files. The total file size of these folders is ~50GB on the server!I cannot find any documentation that states that is okay to remove these files. Does anyone have any information about these?Thanks for any help!-Cameron

File GDB writer not outputting features

Hi Everyone, I am working on a project for school and am reading in CAD data and outputting it as GIS data. However, the File Geodatabase writer is not outputting any features. I am setting it up how I’ve always done it in the past, but it is not creating the GDB where specified as the translation log says no features are being written. I have no clue on why this is happening nor how to fix it, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

FME to S/4HANA Rise

Currently we are using FME work bench to connect to S/4 via OData, however there are performance issues with using Odata, Is there any threshold limit uptil which FME can support the data extract using Odata without any performance issue. Any document or any recommendation from SAFE.What are the other options to connect to S/4 Rise if we do not want to use OData, our FME will be in AWS .What all config options we have other than OData to get rid of the performance issues. If at all there are other options available what all are the components needed to have the same Please help urgent

Excel Writer: Error Message is 'col must be in range 0- 16383'

I’m encountering this error and am at a loss. Everything in workbench (SQLCreator - Attribute Mgr - Excel Writer) seems to work fine, up until it gets to the writer. Excel Writer: Failed to write an attribute of type 'string' with value 'XMLDATA' to row '0' column '-1015942868'. Error message is 'col must be in range 0-16383'. Dissolver - Keep attribute from one of the features, but not random

I use a Sorter to sort on some attributes.When using the Dissolver with a GroupBy attribute and the Accumulation Mode ‘Use Attributes From One Feature’ after the Sorter I assumed the attributes are taken from the first feature of the sorted group. (Basically the same behavior as for a combination of Sorter/Matcher or Sorter/DuplicateFilter).However the Dissolver seems to work differently. The considered feature seems to be random (maybe a geometry condition drives which feature “wins”?).So the question is, how can I use the Dissolver so that always the first feature of my sorted group “wins”?I have an ugly mitigation flow with Tester, Duplicate Filter, AttributeKeeper, FeatureJoiner which is not really smart but cumbersome.Any ideas?Klaus (Version: FME Forms 2024.1.0 WIN64)

Trouble with FME Form when having 3 displays

Has anybody experienced an issue starting FME Form (tried from v2023.2.1 to v2024.2) when having 3 displays connected.We have 2 LG 24MP60G 1080p monitors conected to a Dell Alienware X15 R1 (Intel Core i7-11800H 4.20Ghz, nVidia GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, 32 GB DDR4). In this setup FME opens as a blank white windows.If we disconnect any monitor FME starts as usual.Please let me know if anybody else experienced something similar or if this is a known issue.

Neighbourfinder limited by parcel boundaries

I would like to find for each green point the closest orange building limited by the parcel border the green points are situated in. See the attached image below. The neighbourfinder should do the the trick but should not search in adjacent parcels for closeby buildings. Any suggestions? Ps. This is a snapshot of my data. I have about 700 green points and their parcels and buildings.

Unzip folders through Systemcaller

I am using SystemCaller Transformer to unzip the folders to particular directory using this command""C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z" x "@Value(source_directory)" -o"@Value(_unzip_directory)" -aoa" This process usually runs at night as subprocess within a FME Workspace. All Zipped folders are at same location. My concern is it skipped to extract one of the zipped folder. To check if there is any issue with the zipped folder I checked by running the FME process Manually and it worked fine(extracted all the zipped folder).I also checked by running the same through task scheduler from same user with which the process runs at night, and again it worked fine and was able to unzip all the folders. What could be the cause of FME skipping it? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Dynamic Email Distribution List in FME Flow

We have an FME Flow automation that monitors a network directory for new files. Once new files arrive, they are emailed as attachments using an FME Flow Email (send) Action.Is there a way to make the “Email To” distribution list somewhat dynamic?We have an FME Workspace that generates a text file of the desired distribution list. Currently when it is determined a change might have occurred in the list, we open the text file and manually copy & paste the contents into the “Email To” of the FME Automation monitoring the network directory. Is there a means to have the Automation’s “Email To” parameter just use the text file directly?Or perhaps to have the workspace that generates the text file be included in the automation and provide the current distribution list once the automation is triggered?

Installing on Ubuntu 24.10

Hi there, I am a new user so this may be a newbie error. I have just tried to install FME on my Ubuntu Workstation. It is running the latest version, 24.10. The latest version that FME lists has isfme-form-2024_2024.1.3.24627~ubuntu.22.04_amd64.debso I downloaded that. It fails to install with a long list of failed dependencies. Hel with writing to Excel Template

My organization has a platform that allows users to collect spatial data. We have a forest plot survey that allows users to collect information about forest characteristics. The form is intense, with many nested layers, many-to-one relationships, and repeating sections. I have developed a workbench that reads the JSON from our organization website and ‘unpacks’ it into it’s individual tables, all with id’s to perform the necessary joins down the road. Previously I was just writing all the tables to their own sheet in an excel document, but now my managers are asking me to populate the data into their preferred format, so they have given me an excel table to show what they want the output to look like. It’s not a data friendly format. Essentially, they want all the data to populate onto a single sheet where the sheet has multiple instances of different fields names in the same column. Think like multiple tables stacked on top of each other in one sheet. My initial idea was to write all
