hi, the fme server login screen is not loading properly. I have created a case in the fme community but was wondering if anyone here might have come across this same issue. If yes, how did you resolve it? thank so much.

fme server 2022.2 login page not loading properly on web browser.I have included a couple of attachments for more clarity.I have followed the online suggestions and no luck.Any ideas/suggestions welcome.thanks.

obj closed with texture to IFC class proxy and propertyset custom from excel database

Hey community!I need to transform my OBJ with texture in a solid to trasform that in a IFC with material in a class like building proxy or something like that with a property set from a databse excel existing. Can someone help me?

PostGIS database connection I havent been able to connect to the database for the training session. Im currently using the 2021 version, do I have to use the 2022 version?

FME KMLStyler ignoring fill and opacity

I have a workspace projecting 3D airspaces to a KML. I am trying to color each different type of airspace certain colors for each type and opacity value but the writer seems to ignore the kmlstyler and I end up with random colors with no opacity. Anyone run into this before?

Automation to download attachments to a folder

Hello - I have an FME automation, that downloads the attachments from an email trigger using SMTP protocol. There is slight issue, each time when the job is triggered via received email, FME Server is creating a folder under my desired location, instead of overwriting the file with the same name email attachment. any thoughts or suggestions ? I have attached screenshot of the automation configuration and also target location where FME Server is creating multiple folders. The file name EPS_DATA.csv

How do I merge overlapping portions from two or more polygons to one or the other?

I have a shapefile with many polygons, of which some portions overlap. When I use the AreaGapAndOverlapCleaner, it disconnects the overlapping portion, but makes it an independent feature with data of either polygons, i.e. now I have two polygons with same data. What I want is, the overlapping portion to be merged with any of the polygon feature. How do I do this? Help me Please

PowerShell in FME Server

I have a PowerShell script that copies files from a network drive to a SharePoint site. I can get the script to run manually on the FME Server Server using both my user credentials and the FME Server Service user but when I wrap it into a 'System Caller' it runs but does nothing. The workbench runs in FME Server calling the following in the System Caller C:\\Windows\\System32\\WindowsPowerShell\\v1.0\\powershell.exe"D:\\TMR\\SaferSpeeds\\copyToSharePoint.ps1" My guess is it is some sort of permission issue but not sure where to start.Any ideas?

Reading all shapefile attributes

Hello, I need to read all attributes from input shapefiles with different attributes (not to have the attribute number and name defined). I would like to have a workflow with one reader that will read input shp e.g. "Test1" with 3 attributes (in first run) and then input "Test2" with 4 attributes (in second run) Is there a way how to do it? Hi team, I have some of electrical devices which are away from the electrical line (not snapped) . I want to snap those devices to nearest Electrical line features

I have followed the below process .First I used the Spatial Filter with electrical Line as a candidate and Electrical devices as filter and the spatial relationship as "Intersects". Taken the failed records from the spatial filter to neighbour finder with base as device and Candidate as "Line feature ". Using the output of closest candidate X and Closest candidate Y , Vertex created with the replace point option to overwrite the geometry . Tried the Anchored snapper as well which is not giving the expected result . I am still seeing some of the devices are away from electrical line .Can you please help me on fixing the issue ? Kafka SSL Brokers are down error message using Kafka Connector

Hi, I am trying to make the FME KafkaConnector working. I first tested this connector to produce to a local Kafka server without SSL and authentication. That all works fine. Now I am trying to get it working on our company Kafka instance. This instance requires two-way SSL authentication, which means that I have client certificate, private key and password for the private key. I have configured the Kafka connector as in the screenshot below: The advanced options are set to: with this configuration, I get the following error message: This message is very non-descriptive; it could be anything. Also if I turn on further debug logging in FME, it doesn't give any more details about the cause of the error. As the FME Kafka connector is based on the Confluence Kafka Python library, I have downloaded and configured a producer using this library. How to get Autocad Block Visibility State (more efficient)

I have a drawing which contains more than 700 hundred identical blocks and a lot of other features. The Autocad Blocks are dynamic. They can have one of 6 states where they will display a different geometry. I need to extract the correct shown geometry. I have a new working version I would like to share. And I am curious if this is the most efficient way. These block types are used more often and it is very difficult do show the user in GIS what he is seeing in CAD. My new version reads the file with and without exploded blocks. I use the unexploded block to detect the parameter that controls the 'visibility' state. I need to read the exploded version with 'preserve insert position' to get the correct autocad handle that I can match with the unexploded version. And the autocad block number to connect the correct the autocad handle to the other geometry. Then I can filter out the correct display state. See my attached example. How to check if database is availabe?

To provide high availability of data, client is having two data servers. We need to check for existing database connection failure in FME Work flow and pull data from backup data server. If there is no failure at 1st connection, then no need to proceed for backup server. Is there any possibility for this king of approach in FME?

FME "BatchMode" Missing vs Null - Performance

Is there a difference in performance when it comes to working with Missing vs Null values in FME? I'm working with some database tables which have a lot of null values. The output is something like JSON so In the end I want the null values to be missing in the output rather than a null or an empty string. but when it comes for manipulating the data is there a difference between missing and null values?

Helo FME Users, I am using FME for my data processing tasks, and I am trying to determine the number of points that fall within each polygon in my dataset.Specifically, I have a set of polygons and a corresponding set of points distributed across a geographic area. My objective is to count the number of points contained within each polygon. Using HTTPCaller POST to get Security Token

I am having problems trying to do the above. Documentation for the token request is here: https://bitbucket.org/ikegps/office-api/src/master/ It is requiring a application/x-www-form-urlencoded content-type. I have setup the HTTPCaller like this: The 'mulitpart' upload also includes the additional fields from their doc for 'audience', 'username' and 'password'. I used the example Curl command in Windows list on their docs and was able to get a token. I am getting a '401 error' running this in a workspace. Any help on this or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been fighting with it for a while, and have searched for examples/help here, but haven't gotten it to work.

Why are text features no longer translating after touching .fmw file? could it be related to: attribute(s) do not exist: error message?

Hello, I am attempting to take over support for FME Smallworld translations and the first task is to add some new features to an .fmw file. I am able to add the features but notice that doing this or changing the file in any other way causes seemingly unrelated text features to no longer translate. Looking at some text features in the file, there is a warning: The following attributes do not exist: 'sworld_text_string'. This seems like it could be related to the features no longer translating; I am not sure since they do come across before touching the file. Any information is appreciated. attached are some examples and a log with the error message (updated). I am happy to share more information or meet to try and get this resolved. Thank you.

Good afternoon i am new to FME at this sort of level and interested in digitizing a number of pdf site plans to shp format. I have read a few i must say articles here in the forum, referencing various transformers and i am bit confused i must say. Ideally i would want to georeference the plans and then have them digitised. Is there a way that this could be streamlined by FME?Thank you in advance for your help

DGN to GDB is causing issues.

I have tried both attribute checker and attribute manager to pull the data from the dgn and then run it into geometry filter to place it into an existing gdb, and this does not seem to be the correct workflow. Is there a standard setup for converting a DGN to a GDB?

Kafka SASL_SSL connector not working on FME, though Ok via Python / Apache NiFi

Hello, We are desperately trying to make FME working with our Kafka cluster in SASL_SSL mode (SCRAM-SHA-512).The Kafka cluster runs well : we are able to produce/consume from any Java/Python source code as well as via Apache NiFi, but on our FME Desktop, we get the following error message : I don't have any more message to help me to troubleshoot it. Need Assistance to Create FME Workspace

Hi, I am working on a project with 3D Pipe Network features. I want to create reader for excel and IFC file format and DGN would be the writer. The ifc and excel files has a common ID (Tag). I am trying to join the metadata based on the common ID (Tag) and trying to write 3D solid geometry MicroStation DGN file? is there any solution for it?Attached is the sample file. FME Desktop & FME Server crash while running workspace

When adding a new part (containing 5 feature mergers) to an already excisting workspace, which was already published on FME server, FME Server runs into a Failure without expressing why. The workspace is mainly made out of FeatureMergers and AttributeManagers. When replicating this problem in FME Workbench 2021.2 with cashing on the whole workspace runs smoothly without any problems. If I run the workspace normal manually the FME workbench stops working. Hopefully anyone knows how to deal with this problem? Maybe there is a work-around?
