Hi @giuseppecfgeo,

I would be happy to set up an initial workspace to illustrate how to do this. Would you mind sending me samples of your OBJ with texture files and Excel file? If you are not comfortable making them public, you can send them directly to me at dave.campanas@safe.com.

Hi Dave!

Thank you so much for your help, it's very precious.

As I told you, I have an OBJ which is a closed mesh, it is a statue with textures which I would like to transform into IFC. I would like to be able to assign it to an IFCbuildingProxy class and give it property sets from an excel database.

Attached you will find the data.

I really appreciate your help, I hope I can reciprocate in some way.

Thank you very much again.

Giuseppe from Switzerland

I have attached an annotated workspace illustrating how to do the OBJ to IFC conversion. IFC does not support image textures, so you will lose the textures in the conversion.

Hey Dave, can you send a screenshot of your workspace please?

What is your FME version? With my version 2019 I cannot visualize all the script correctly, I have not all the trasformers.

Thanks again!
