Is their a way to turn off info logging on FME server. i have sql queries in my workbench i uploaded and wanted to know if i could turn off the info logging just for this workbench so the log isnt huge. When it logs the full queries it takes up space, i just want to see error, warn and fatal error messages for this one workbench

Hi,I've been trying to convert a JSON time series dataset into spreadsheet using FME Desktop for the last few days and am having some trouble getting the full time series to come out of the process. I can get the first record out of the dataset, (or second, etc.) by just adding value{0}.value and value{0}.dateTime in the AttributeManager, along with all of the other static data for the station (lat/long, name, site code, etc.). The current workflow correctly writes the output to excel, but I need the static data to repeat and the full list of value/dateTime records to be written. If I add a ListBuilder in front of the AttributeManager, then nothing comes through and all that's written to output are the field names. I think that the ListBuilder is probably the key here, as it lets me add a range of indexes for the time series data (i.e - value{0-100}.dateTime), but there's no output when I do this and I think I need a little guidance. Greetings.I have a self-intersecting polygon which is not being recognised as such by the GeometryValidator. The "Self-intersections in 2D" option in the transformer parameters is checked and most other self-intersecting geometries are detected. However, a small percentage are not. Hi I want to add a point cloud on top of another point cloud (in Z) but I can't figure out a good way to do it.I got a big point cloud (over 7,000,000,000 points) of a city and then I got a point cloud with a lot of pillars I want to place on roofs in the city point cloud. The pillar point cloud is aligned in X and Y but the Z value is way off so the pillars ends up inside or under the roofs. Is there any way to read the roofs Z value and then set the pillars Z value to the specific roof Z, or is there a better way to solve this?ThanksPhilip

Hi, got a bit of an issue updating metadata templates (json documents) using the Box.com api with the httpcaller in FME. Specifically I have some content in Box which has some metadata associated with it and it can be updated via an api call. The call needs to be a PUT and the content type needs to be application/json-patch+json as per their documentation here. Using the http caller there is no option to set this sort of content type in the 'Content type' selector in the httpcaller 'body' dialogue. Would be grateful for some ideas. I did try to set the content type by manually inserting into the header but this just returns an http 400 error.

Hello,I have a workspace that reads data from an API using the HTTP Caller. The API contains Wildfire data and I added query parameters to pull data for a single fire. I set up the workspace to dump the data into a Google Sheet. I'd like to push this to FME Server and have it add a new row and put the "updated" data in that new row. In other words I'd like each successful run of the workspace to result in writing a new row to the Google Sheet.I've played around with all of the default options in the Google Sheet writer but cannot seem to figure out which (if any) of them will create the results I'm looking for. I have a Shutdown Python Script wich run a system terminal command. In this command I have to write the name of different pdf files. My problem is that the names are written directly in the command. I prefer to write the name of a variable wich refers to a file name. Is that possible in the shutdown Python script?I also find the transformer SystemCaller. Maybe it's a better idea. But, my script have to be run à the very end of the project.Do you have any advice please?

Hello Users,My situation: I have connected lines with a attribute lengh each lines: _length.I need to get this attribute _length and break in two anothers one: att_begin and att_end for each lines.For example line 1: has the attribute _length = 39.7. I would like to take this and generate att_begin=0 and att_end = 39.7. The line 2 has the attribute _length = 84. Is necessary to generate att_begin=39.8 ( in sequence number before ) and att_end=123.8 ( 39.8 + 84 ).Attached my Source data. Thanks :)

I am trying to use FME to create ArcGIS Online Feature Collections instead of Feature Services. I assume I need to write some Python script for it but wanted to see if anyone else had perfected this process.-Mark

I have a python shutdown script that works fine in FME Desktop but when I try to run it in FME Server it fails. The logs aren't showing me anything useful.I think the error may be due to my file path that I am trying to access. If I am trying to access a file via Python on the server, shouldn't I be using: r"//servername/directory/filename.cfg"?Or should I try something else?Thanks, Mark

Hi, trying to capture a 'payee' name from text attributes for each feature. The payee name always occurs on the line after 12 spaces. I use some software called Regex Buddy to build and test the regex so I know this works. However, when I plug the regex into StringSearcher in FME and put the same text into the test box, it doesn't work. There's a sample text file attached and the regex I'm using is at the bottom of the file. In this particular file I'm trying to pick up the words Hanover Housing Association. Any ideas anyone??ThanksJames

This seams rather easy but I'm not able to create is.Input: a lot of area features that are nicely touching each other (no overlaps nor gaps) (assume a 100 areas)output that I want: I want to have X clusters (to be defined by user) that contains 100/X areas and those areas are not intersecting with each other (see attached screenshot).The output can everytime be different as long as the areas in 1 cluster don't touch each other.ThanksVAT

We're trying to write data via "ArcSDE Geodb" writer in SDO_GEOMETRY format and make it readable for non-ESRI software. We're using ArcGIS for Desktop 10.3.1 on an ArcSDE 10.2.2 on Oracle 11g with FME Desktop 2015.1 (but the same problem apperas in different combinations of software versions as well).Our main problem is that in the oracle geometry metadata entries the axis-definition can't be set correctly no matter how we're trying it. SQL:select DIMINFO from user_sdo_geom_metadata WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'SDOTEST_FME_WRITERCRS';RESULT:MDSYS.SDO_DIM_ARRAY(MDSYS.SDO_DIM_ELEMENT(NULL,3447000,3467000,0.001),MDSYS.SDO_DIM_ELEMENT(NULL,5422000,5440000,0.001))As you can see, both axis are defined as "NULL" instead of "X" and "Y". Is there any way to tell the writer how to set this up correct?

I want to pickup the value of the returned dataset and put it in an attribute. For that purpose I defined an alias, which name I define as an exposed attribute in the SQLExecutor. However the attribute remains empty .... The SQL statement is valid so it should return results. Am I overlooking something or doing something wrong?Kind re

I have an SDE Geodatabase (ArcObjects) data source and want to filter out all features with no name.I've used a tester with a test for 'has a value'.I've also tried testing for 'not null AND not emtpy string'I've also tried using a NullAttributeMapper and mapping Nulls to some value and testing for that.Whatever I do, 49 'Nulls' make it through to the output, even if I add more testers. Workspace obviously doesn't think these are Null/empty, but the inspector reports them as <null> after running the workspace.I can just manually delete these from my output later, but if anyone can shed some light on what is happening here, I'd appreciate it.I'm using Workbench 2016.1.1edit:if I query the oracle view in the geodatabaseselect name, road_type from PLAN.roads_src where name is not null order by name;I get a number of results with <NULL> for name.So it appears FME is doing exactly what it is asked. I have a large KML file that I would like to split into several smaller equal size KML. My original KML file has 311,055 polygon records and is too large to open in Google Earth as is. I would like to create several sub files from this file (e.g. 5 KML files with 62,211 records each).

When I set a shapefile Reader , i found that it can only read the shapefiles which have the same Feature Type, but i want to load shapefiles with different Feature Type by one Shapefile Reader, how can i do ? By the way, i want to publish it to FMEServer, and i can read the shapefiles upload by website, which may have different Feature Type. How can i do??? Thanks!!

Hey folks, I'm trying to accomplish a fairly simple thing, which is to create a workspace that can read, transform, and write different Spatialite files with different attributes. I'm pretty certain that I've been able to do this earlier with other formats, but I can't get it to work with this format. The problem is that when I add a Spatialite reader, selecting "Single merged feature type", the attritbutes from this file are read and added to the feature type. Then, if I change the file source to another Spatialite with a different set of attributes, i get the message SPATIALITE reader: Feature type 'natural' does not contain an attribute matching the schema attribute 'landuse', skipping attribute 'landuse'SPATIALITE reader: Feature type 'natural' does not contain an attribute matching the schema attribute 'leisure', skipping attribute 'leisure'SPATIALITE reader: Feature type 'natural' does not contain an attribute matching the schema attribute 'amenity', skipping attribute 'amenity'S
