I have several raster of about 13 kms x 13 kms square, high resolution and would like to know if there is a way to extract all the impervious areas from it

I would like to extract things like concrete driveways, road surfaces, any other hard surfaces, to calculate areas. The Rasters I have, are taken several years apart and would like to calculate the change in surface areas.

@rusty FME doesn't really include feature extraction in the raster tools. You can create a classified raster, if there is a clear distinction between the characteristics (RGBA) of the impervious pixels. Some ideas here. So the raster tools might be RasterExpressionEvaluator , RasterCellValueCalculator or RasterCellValueReplacer and then RasterToPolygonCoercer.

Thank you, I will give that a try and see what I can do, sounds feasible. I was thinking there must be an easier way than that, but we will try that for sure much appreciated.
