Unable to connect to Enterprise Portal: unable to retrieve access tokens

FME Desktop version: FME 2021.2

I was trying to follow this article on How to Create an ArcGIS Enterprise Portal Web Connection (OAuth 2.0)

It was going well until I tried to 'test' before moving on to Step 3 and I got the following error (see also attached):

Unable to Retrieve access token

Request to update access token failed. HTTP Error HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized

 

Does anyone know what this error in referring to?

Hi marronm, were you able to save the web service, then go to step 3 and create a web connection using that service. Upon clicking authenticate does it throw the same error as the ‘test’

Hi j.botterill, yes I can save the web service but when I move on to the next step and click ‘authenticate’, the same error appears.

Same issue - was this resolved?
