When converting OSTopo in Tab format into DXF or DWG for autocad I am having aweful problems with the final product.

When I open the file in the Universal Translator it looks apsolulty fine. However when my colleagues open it in AUTOCad certain areas are for better word, filled in, solid.

When investigating this I have come to the conclusion that the areas that are good are polylines but the other areas are Hatch. In QGIS the attribute table shows them as having a sub class of AcDbEntity: AcDbHatch and Text as SOLID. The good areas show the subclass as AcDbEntity:AcDbPolyline and no Text.

This is not usful and causing all sorts of problems. I can not seem to reslove the issue, does any one have any ideas?

Hi,

Are you making use of the DWGStyler in the translation? this transformer gives you the possibility to use a template file in which styles are present.

I think that without a template file FME uses a default of solid for areas.
