Google Fusion Tables API is changing and this will affect FME Google Fusion readers & writers

Google has announced that the Google Fusion Tables SQL API is being deprecated and replaced by the Google Fusion Tables API v1.0. This will occur on or around 14 January 2013.  The main API change is the move to OAuth 2.0

This means that existing FME Google Fusion readers & writers will not be able to access your Google Fusion tables.

All new FME 2013 Versions (after build 13261) will support the new OAuth 2.0 authorisation.

If you have problems connecting to your Google Fusion tables please contact Safe support
A general question regarding this:

Is there support for VERSIONING on the READERS and WRITERS, similar to on the Transformers themselves? Ie when there is a new version of the Joiner I get a notification when starting the workspace on an older version of FME similar to : "This was made with a newer version of the Joiner (version 9), do you really want to open it with this FME-version?"

It would be very nice if the same mechanism was implemented for READERS and WRITERS.
RE: Versioning on Readers, that is an interesting idea. We've also been thinking of adding a right click to a reader that allows you to "refresh" it with the latest.  Which would be useful in a case like this -- where fusion tables is changing so drastically.

Good feedback, thanks.
