First thing to try, if you haven't done so already, is download the latest FME version and install that (even if it is the same as you were using before the Windows update it might still benefit from a clean FME install)

Try to open a blank workspace, add a simple Creator and a Inspector and then Run to see if the same error consists. If this works without error, then there might be an error on the "Oracle connection". Make sure you have 32 or 64 bit FME installed and the accompanying Oracle drivers.

Which folder did you install FME to? c:\\Program files\\FME or c:\\Program files (x86)\\FME?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tested step by step. its failed on feature writer. But I don't think it is the Oracle connection problem because feature reader worked fine. For now I just need to republish it to the server and run from server.

My installation folder is c:\\Apps\\FM by the way.

I cannot just download and run the latest version of FME because our whole systems have to running the same version that is 2017.0.1.1 (20170512-Build 17291 - WIN 32).

You have a 32-bit FME and a 64-bit OS. This should work, but I wonder if installing the 64-bit version of that FME build would make a difference (assuming you don't have any 32-bit specific workspaces)
