Spatial Relator does not work

Hello!

I'm using the Spatial Relator to check whether Polygons are in a certain area or not.

But it does not work properly for all the data:

In the example yellow polygons are properly found as "within" the purple polygons, whereas red area is marked as "outside".

What could be the problem?

Best regards

Isabell

Are there aggregates, collections or such?

Are the polygons valid?

(if it is part of an aggregate and some of the aggregate is outside, then the aggregate is not within..)

Also, maybe the purple polygon is not as "solid" as it looks? ( i assume yes of course)

Btw, the spatialrelator in FME2014 is somewhat broken  in regards to ares. It is fixed in the (available) beta. See some previous threads on this topic)

Thank you for your answer!

They are indeed aggregated before! So that should be the problem! I'll try it without aggregating the polygons and will report if it works!

Our measuring unit is meter, so that shouldn't be the problem.
