I am able to complete the geometry transfer from GIS .shp to DGN v8 however the attributes from the writer are not available once the format has been changed even though the reader and writer seem to recognize them.

Hello @jcziesch, thanks for posting! May I ask how you're changing the reader/writer format currently? It may be easiest to simply add/remove writers or readers as you need them. Note, you can also disable objects in a workspace to have them not be executed at runtime (Right Click > Disable). If you're able to elaborate or use screenshots to demonstrate the issue, I might be able to provide more insight!
