When I export a 3D solid to dwg I get a Polyface mesh instead of a 3Dsolid.

How do I get 3Dsolids?

Have you tried the RealDWG writer? This might give you better results than the ACAD writer

I'm interested in this too. I thought this might be an FME limitation on how it generates 3D solids. It looks like it triangulates as a surface rather than what we would expect from an Autocad 3D Solid shape. I'm just speculating as a rookie here so I'd be keen to hear from a more advanced FME user..?

Solved!>It was a combination between the geometrycoercer(set to fme_berp_solid) and the RealDWG writer. :-)

When I open the dwg drawing the object is converted to a Mesh and not to a Solid.

Do you have an example Workspace for me?
