Does anybody know if it's possible to use a dwg template with a block and then set parameters in FME so the block is 3D-rotated in the resulting dwg-file?

I'm not sure whether this can be done with FME.

However if you AutoCAD you could try the function ROTATE3D, which would allow to rotate a block object. If you read the saved drawing with the 3D rotated block (and preferably a not 3D rotated block), you can look into the Format Attributes to see whether there is a difference there.

Hope this helps you solve your challenge.

Thanks, Lars! I will try this.
