Can we do simultaneous loading while making measurement on land with drone?

Dear   I have two polygon shapfile one capture in 2010 from sat image and the other one capture after 2014 from aerial photo the idea is some time more than one polygon fill or intersect with 2014 polygon so my target is to select the polygon from 2010 intersect with polygon 2014 with max area only (that mean select one polygon ) polygon with the max area , see the picture and you will know what I am talking about ... the system will calculate the area and select the polygon with max area (for example the below pic show the polygon number 3 because it has the max area , ....    Thanks   Eng.Najd Hanahnah

Simple setup:  A large number of Line features (millions) needs to be overlaid with a set of Area features (25000). So a simple LineOnAreaOverlayer is used. This process is very slow and I am running into memory problems even with FMEx64. I have an attribute on the Line features that can group them into about 250 groups. So a case for parallel processing I thought (with which I have limited experience).  My problem is with the Areas. I want to process each group Line features with the same set of Area features. So I want to re-use the same set of Area futures for every batch after initial input. I cannot seem to think of a good idea to accomplish this. Even with a Custom Transformer. The Area Features do not have the group attribute and for various reasons each batch of Line features must be intersected with all Area features.  The only (fairly inelegant) solution that I could come up with is to cross join the Area Features with the list of groups using a FeatureMerger but that also

Hi,   this is in relation to https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/19565/tiler-c...,   I have ran it overnight and it still continues. I used 100 x 100 horizontal/Vertical. I am not sure how long this would it take.   Here is my build, it has only outputted roughly about 10 files. I am not sure if its going to Tile it first and put the data into cache and split them. but basically takes forever.   Thanks! Jubert

I have a road map (grey shapes) and i want to make axis from it. I use the centerlinereplaces (red lines) but i must connect the centerline to the other centerline. (blue line)   

Hi,  I have 2 sets of data with x and y and I would like to best match this information and join the information based on nearest point data. Some of the x and y locations are exactly the same in both datasets, so join easily with spatialrelator/filter or feature merge, but this is only 4%. The majority are slightly different as both datasets are using slightly different algorithms and software to record the x and y's.  Is there a way of assigning the nearest x and y from one dataset to another? So I can get a 100% match rate. Obviously assumptions will be made, but I feel this would be more beneficial for this particular join.

just a quick background, I am running a Workspace runner to run a feature reader to lookup points on area and it create huge amount of "FME_OBJC_MultiWriter_14467677819_2724_1" type of files.  If I delete something on the Temporary files manually just to save space during running time. and it does not pop up any error on the translation log. can I trust that the data that I have would be correct?  by right, if FME would be able to identify missing files it created on the temporary folder. thus the theory that it would be safe?  any thoughts guys? thanks in advance!

Bonjour,  dans le cadre d'un processus de mise à jour je suis amené à comparer les modifications faites sur un ensemble de point entre deux moments donnés. J'utilise par conséquent un Transformer ChangeDetector pour obtenir les points n'ayant pas changés DU TOUT. Cependant il existe aussi des points bougeant PEU mais de manière suffisante pour que le ChangeDetector les considère comme différents. Pour palier à ca, existe-t-il un moyen d'integrer une tolérance de distance pour qu'un transformer ChangeDetector puisse faire passer dans le flux unchanged les points revised étant suffisament proche d'un original ? Actuellement, j'utilise un NeighborFinder sur les flux Added et Deleted, pour creer ce mechanisme à la main, mais cette solution a trouvé sa limite lorsque deux points Base sont proche du meme Candidate, j'obtient alors des incohérences de résultat.   

Hi,  I have read a Huge polygon and used a Tiler transformer. I specified the Tiling Type to "Number of Tiles" and assigend the horizontal and vertical numbers..How do I then configure the Writer to save 1 tile to 1 individual file?  thanks Jubert

Extract data into folders based on attribute , it should be hierachy strucutre , example coutnry , city , district then pacels share files

I have a shapefile that has a field in the attribute table called "QA_TYPE" with the domains of:  IN EDIT ENVRIO REVIEW COMPLETED GIS REVIEW  I'm trying to find a way to count how many feature are in each stage of review. For instance, If I have 8 features that are 'IN EDIT' and 12 that are 'COMPLETED' i want to write a text file that looks like:  IN EDIT: 8 COMPLETED: 12  Thanks!

Hi,  I have a shapefile and I am writing the output according to the according to the attributr name of the input shapefile. The input shapefile has korean language. Now, if I export the according to the attribute, language is not getting exported correctly by FME. How can we resolve this issue !!

Hi There,  I'm throwing this out there in desperation. I'm trying to find a way to keep a hosted table updated within ArcGIS Online. Unfortunately, I've found that it is not possible to write data to a table service in the same way we can write to a feature service using FME. Has anyone devised a way to write rows to a table that is hosted in ArcGIS Online (or some other service)?  I suspect it will have to be done using JSON and the REST API but being a bit of a novice in this area of the cloud I'm seeking some pointers.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Warren

Hello,  I have a workbench which reads featureclasses from parameters i.e. Oracle tables. I linked this parameter to "Feature Types To Read". Oracle Sptial Reader is used to read these feature classes and write it out to SHAPE. This works fine. Just want to know is there any other efficient way to achieve this. As I don't know how many tables I may need to pass in parameter.  Cheers, John

I am using statistics calculator to fill in the total number of features from a datasource.  I want to expand and contract that list in excel dependent on non zero.I also want a grand total at the bottom to be just below the last row. Do I need to get the max number of possible rows to use in a parameter? Do I need to create a parameter to count those rows and make that parameter the location +1 of my grand total?

Hello everyone,  I am new to using FME. The goal I am trying to achieve is to read in JSON data and write it to a File Geodatabase. I have watched the webinar: http://www.safe.com/webinar/fme-and-json/ and found it to be very helpful. I was even able to read in one JSON file and write it successfully to a Excel file.   I am now using a different JSON file and I was trying to use the same steps as with the one before that worked but it's not working the same with this one.  Here is a snapshot showing the translation that worked:  Here is a snapshot showing the translation that is not working:  On the first one that works I was able to find in the log file the proper attribute names to use in the AttributeExposer but when i try doing the same with the one that doesn't work I can't seem to find anything in the log that shows the attribute names.  Here is what the JSON looks like in the translation that is not working:  {    "Data" : {       "crs" : {      

Hi!!! I read a SDE (SQL) database and write dynamic MapInfo table (dynamic is because I want my output to be like my SDE Database).  Eveything is fine except with the "date" type attribute.  MapInfo write the date as a "DateTime" attribute. But I'd like to have a simple "Date" attirbute.  Any idea how to force "Date" and not "DateTime" on a dynamic transformation using Dynamic Properities of the  SDE Geodatabase ? thank you!

Hi Looking at the FME online help for lists, I want to create this type of list in PythonCaller and use it in Workbench as a list:  somelist{0}.length = 7.3 somelist{0}.kind = ’paved’ somelist{1}.length = 8.4 somelist{1}.kind = ’smooth’ somelist{1}.lanes = 2 somelist{2}.length = 1.1 somelist{2}.kind = ’rough’ I've created a simple list (element with an index) but struggling using fmeobjects and other libraries in the PythonCaller to create and set this complex list.  Anyhelp from the Python Jedi out there?  Thanks

I have a line shapefile and a nodes shapefile, I want to via the topologybuilder to get the from_node_ and to_node_. However, after this transformer, I got some extra nodes which are overlapped on the some input nodes. Those are not I wanted. Because I saw that by an intersection point of 3 lines, 2 lines have the same to_node_, but another has a different to_node_, which is overlapped.   How can I solve this problem? (I can send the data and script)  Thanks for helping!

I'm looking for a way to send an email from FME Desktop. I went through this post but I cannot solve the issue: https://knowledge.safe.com/AnswersQuestionDetail?id=906a0000000cqUpAAI  I have used "TCLEmailer" and "PythonEmailer" but I got the same error of the above post. ------ Python Exception <SMTPException>: SMTP AUTH extension not supported by server. Error encountered while calling function `email' PythonFactory failed to process feature ------  I disabled the antivirus but without any improvement.  I'm using Gmail for the emailing and I'm aware about the Gmail setting: Email server: smtp.gmail.com Gmail SMTP port (TLS): 587 Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465   Please for your support. I would be glad if anyone have a workspace with data sample or demo for the Email from FME Desktop. 

I installed FME 2015.1.2.1 on my computer and tried to use the transformer gallery search but it displays "Search is unavailable".  Any ideas?  Thanks.
