SDE Writer error after reading image

I've encountered this error a few times and can't figure out what exactly is going on.

I have an SDE writer after a reader that is reading a PNG. From what I understand it might do with the fme_feature_type being a PNGRaster but if i change or remove it I get the same error.

Are you writing a raster dataset for the SDE writer ? Sounds like it’s not defined, as to the type of object on the writer
