Hello!
We have noticed that FME 2018 seems to using locks more often than we previously experienced. Is this expected? or is it an issue on our side? It seems to occur mainly on desktop.

Thanks for your question! I haven't personally noticed any differences mentioned until your question now. Can you describe your problem in a bit more detail? Am I understanding correctly that you are encountering more locked tables when working with ArcSDE readers/writers than before? When writing to ArcSDE, I noticed this Q&A; answer from david_r about setting the writer to truncate seems to work for one user in dealing with locked tables. Is this issue causing your workspace to fail or giving you any errors?
