Workspace is very slow

I am having an issue with my 2017 FME Desktop performing very slowly. The issue is not with running a workspace or reading data but rather with editing the workspace itself. There is a significant delay when adding a reader and editing a transformer. The slowness of FME has almost made the software unusable.

Things I have tried:

  1. Purge temporary files (Tools > Purge Temporary Files).
  2. Start a blank ws and copy ols ws content to it
  3. Delete all FME TEMP location files

Any suggestions on how to gain performance in FME?

This was solved on my side by following these steps:

 

 

Uninstalling FME, deleting everything that was left in the folder, and then reinstalling FME.
