Hi FMEers,

I am trying to wite out a KML from a single csv file using one of the fields as a fanout.

There does not appear to be an option to use Fanout Dataset for OGCKML...am I missing something?

As an alternative I was trying to fan out feature types in a single KML output file using one of teh csv file attributes as the fanout. There translation completes but complaind that the fanout attribute didn't exist or had no value...but this is not the case and the translation succends if I remove the fanout by Attribute in the Feature Type?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Did you look for 'Fanout Dataset' node on the Navigator window?

Takashi

Thanks Takashi,

I missed that and have tried using it with some success.

It's not as straightforward as fanout datasets for some other formats but I guess that is a function of teh KML format. When combined with Feature Type Fanout By Attribute and/or  Parent Document File Name in Feature properties you there unexpected results.

Is there anyway to disable the automatic coordinate transformation to LL-WGS84?

I am creating kml from csv derived from CADD data in UTM coords. The kml is consumed in an app that overlays it with GeoPDF files also in UTM coords, so teh kml placemarks are shifted...?

I'll post this as a separate question to community.

Thanks again,

Mike
