Tell us more about what you do and how you use FME?
I manage the GIS data for TasNetworks, we use the Esri Utility Network alongside other spatial and non-spatial data from multiple systems. I utilize FME to move data around between these systems and run analysis to help the business make better decisions.
Why did you join the FME Community?
The learn more and help others.
What tips do you have for users on how to get the most out of the FME Community?
Just get in there and ask a question, someone will have already done what you are trying to do, or something close enough, and you can usually find a way through to solve the problem you have.
Tell us about some of the exciting use cases you've built using FME.
A process to integrate Esri Utility Network with SAP via FME Flow and SAP Odata APIs.
What's one of your favourite tips or tricks for using FME?
Parameters - parameterize everything and reuse the same ones as much as possible, no more typos when changing setting for a process.
If you were stranded on an island and could only bring three things with you, what would they be?
Depends on what's already there, is it deserted or a luxury resort?
If you could work from anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Somewhere with snow, so I could end my day with a few runs of the ski slope or just play and make a snowman.
