Tell us more about what you do and how you use FME?

I started my work with the FME Platform over 18 years ago. At first, I only carried out a few conversions from one format to another. Over time, I reached a high level on the platform, participating in complex integrations and Augmented Reality projects.

Currently, I am the Commercial Manager at the company, Solutial. Our company is a reseller here in Brazil and South America.

Why did you join the FME Community?

Initially, I joined the FME Community to ask some questions. Over the years, I log in every day to help other users around the world, using my experience. I’m happy to see that the community is growing, with new users discovering the full potential of FME.

What tips do you have for users on how to get the most out of the FME Community?

I suggest participating in the discussion forums, following the Safe blog for updates, and networking with other users from around the world.

Tell us about some of the exciting use cases you’ve built using FME.

Last year, I assisted our technical team in building a workspace that involved Augmented Reality. I particularly liked it because of all the challenges.

What’s one of your favourite tips or tricks for using FME?

In my opinion, the best tip I tell clients is to maintain an updated FME platform, so you can take advantage of the latest technologies and manage any performance issues in your processes.

Another tip I find is important is if you perform repetitive tasks, create workspace templates. This saves time when setting up new projects and ensures consistency.

If you were stranded on an island and could only bring three things with you, what would they be?

My answer is easy! A notebook with a fixed FME license, a cap, and pocket knife.

If you could work from anywhere in the world, where would it be?

It would be in the center of Europe, Berlin.
