Hi,

The workbench to convert the File geodatabase to CAD was working until the FME/ArcGIS upgrade.

The workbench is now not writing many line features  with the following warning

The following feature is not valid because its entity type of 'fme_no_map' and its geometry type of 'IFMELine' do not match. The geometry failed to be converted to match the type, so the feature will be skipped.

 Warning : Attribute(string; UTF-8)           : `autocad_entity' has value `fme_no_map'

FME version : FME(R) 2025.0.0.0 (20250228 - Build 25208 - WIN64)

How can this be fixed?

Thanks

Sresree

Hi @sresree140,

Thank you for posting your question on the FME Community, and apologies for the delayed response.

The warning you’re seeing indicates that the attribute autocad_entity is being assigned a value of fme_no_map, which results in the line features being rejected.

To resolve this, please check your workspace (Writer feature type parameters, AttributeManager, or any upstream transformers) to ensure that autocad_entity is not being set to fme_no_map. The features should write correctly if you allow the DWG writer to set the entity type automatically, or set the value of autocad_entity to an accepted value:

https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME-Form-Documentation/FME-ReadersWriters/acad/autocad-entity-types-descr.htm

If adjusting the autocad_entity value doesn’t solve the issue, could you please submit a support ticket so our team can take a closer look? When submitting a ticket, please include:

  • The translation .log file
  • A sample workspace demonstrating the issue with some sample input data. If possible, please send this as a template (.fmwt) including any required data or custom transformers.

We’ll be happy to help investigate further!
