Why is the xml schema written to the first tag coming out of the XML Formatter and how do I stop it?

Here is a screenshot of my XML Formatter:

and this is the Output:

<EINGRIFF_EINGRIFF xsi:nil="true"/>

<EINGRIFF_INDEX xsi:nil="true"/>...

Why does the first tag get all the schema information added to it and how can I stop FME doing it?
