What does it mean if the pipes are broken as in the second and third example?? Anything?

Hi @kowpakmike,

It looks like a GUI issue (visual but doesn't affect the translation). May I ask what version and build of FME you're running (ex. 2019.x build 19xxx)? You can find this in Help > About FME Workbench.

And is this happening just once or are you able to create new connections that look like that?

I get the same in FME 2018.1.1.2. To answer the OP's question, it doesn't "mean" anything but rather is just a small bug on the Workspace GUI. Slightly moving the transformers in question tends to resolve the display of the connector properly.
