Question

Translation from dxf file to MapInfo creates only one layer, the last one even if it can see all of them.

I have the new version. The old one used to do this very easily.

Hi @rene_audet

Is there some configuration in the Writer for fanout attributes?

Please, could you share our Workspace template? What version of FME are you using?

Thanks in Advance,

Danilo

I used to run the translator from within MapInfo and it was running all smoothly. I also could select to open non-empty layers only and specify line type, color, etc all from one small frame.

Now, what I get in FME Workbench is a bunch of yellowish arrow shaped objects - one for each layer, that I must run separately and eventually view in a window. The problem is probably that I am unfamiliar with this software that is very awkward for me to operate. So, frustration. I liked it much better when it was integrated to Mapinfo. Also, I am a self entrepreneur and can't afford to spend much money or time on software. I must make do with small resources and deliver my product - environmental maps for small lots. Thanks.
