Is there a possibility to schedule the workbench on our local system rather than putting it on the server due to data confidentiality issues?

Yes! Check out the Windows Task Scheduler.

Yes, you can create a batch file and configure the Windows task scheduler to run it at any interval.

There are some helpful hints here, in particular the one from @stalknecht on how to configure the batch file:

It's important to verify that the scheduled task is executed with a user that has sufficient rights, see also:

Looks like they are from the old, old system, not the most recent one. It might be that we can’t redirect those any more, but the person who will have an answer is @LizAtSafe who is our resident link redirection genius.
