Hello!

I created a workbench using FME 2022 and then updated to the FME 2024 version. After the update, I also updated some transformers.

Now, I need to revert to FME 2022, but some transformers are incompatible and not visible on the workbench.

Is there a possibility to restore those transformers to a previous version to be compatible with FME 2022?

I think it has no way to revert transformers from FME2024 to an older version. You have to rebuild your workbench with FME 2022. If your workbench is built in FME 2022 it will be ok in FME 2024

 

It’s a bit of a manual process:

  1. Open a blank 2022 workbench
  2. Add the transformer
  3. Copy across from 2022 to 2024 - this will copy the 2022 version
  4. Setup/configure the 2022 version
  5. Delete the 2024 version

I would love to be able to have some kind of compatibility mode though. “e.g., Save As 2022 version”. Of course that would be really hard to actually get to work.
