Red fields arrows,

I have added a number of fields on the destination polygon feature class but it appears that two fields (out of six) have red arrows.

What might this indicate for? How to fix this problem?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

Hi,

Possibly some basic information is needed for you to understand the working of FME, see

http://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Workbench/Default.htm#Understanding_Schema.htm

Possibly, the issue is related to the restriction on attribute name of Shape format. Every attribute name for Shape file has to be 10 bytes or less.

Yes it is an shape file attribute lenght limitation.

The first 10 characters are the same, ZoneClassification >10 characters are the same, it cannot decide where to link.

I usually rename those to something like ZC_English ans ZC_Arabic.

Or u must manauly link those

Thank you very much guys for the help,

Linking the fields from the schema mapper to their corresponding fields in the destination solves the issue.
