Hi,

I have  a series of mass boxes that I'm exporting from CityEngine as 3ds files.  The boxes represent parts of a whole building.

I'm looking for a way to join the boxes that make the individual buildings into one feature.

I don't have any attributes on the data that would allow me to match them outside of their geometric relationship.

The features I'd like to match are all extreamly close to one another in one of their planes.

Is there anything like nearest neighbor that will work in 3D....or a similar approach.

Thanks,

Greg

Hi,

When you say:

' I'm looking for a way to join the boxes that make the individual buildings into one feature.'

Do you mean dissolving? I belive the dissolver doenst support 3D dissolvement.

You can however aggregate 3D objects.
