Loglevel DEBUGMSG not working in FME Desktop 2016.1.*

Recently I bumped my plugins version to 3.8.* and found the availability to make use of the new DEBUGMSG loglevel.

I assumed it is bound to the "Log Message Filter" option in FME Workbench, but the messages are never logged into the logfile.

 

It works for the other loglevels, though.

Is this a known issue or how can I submit a bug report?

    Also the latest 2017 version has the same behaviour.
