Is there a way to apply local generalization? Or some other method to smooth out specific parts of lines without touching everything? I find that the generalizer algorithms are quite hard to understand.

Take the example below, I would like to do something about the U-turn, preferably remove it, but the rest of the linework must not be touched. In other places I would like to smooth out 90 degree turns. Still without touching the rest of the linework.

Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Hi @aron,

The SpikeRemover transformer might be useful in that circumstance.
