My FMETEMP folder keeps growing. I can free up about 1GB by using the purge temporary files feature. However, my entire temp folder is nearly 54GB. Is it safe to manually delete these files? I was thinking they are supposed to go away when I restart the machine, but they seem to stick around.

You can usually safely delete all the files and folders in the FME_TEMP still lingering after having rebooted your machine.

If, for some reason, one or several files are in use, you will not be able to delete them (on Windows) anyway.

looks like it's mostly coming from FMETable, and I can't delete the files. I'm going to reboot again and try again.

the FMETable folder fills right back up when I run my workspace. I'm going to update my install and see if maybe this was an issue that was fixed.

It's FME's temporary data so, depending on your RAM and what you're trying to do, it's normal to see this filling up during a translation.
