I have a COLLARS table with the following columns : hole_number, X, Z, Z; I also have a SURVEY table with hole_number, depth, azimuth, and dip. Currently I use the QGIS "Geoscience" plug-in with those tables, it does a nice job but it's static and I can't really schedule it. Any thoughts?

Has anyone had any experience setting up a transformation to generate borehole traces projected to 2D map?

This is possible, but is a bit too complex for me to describe. I would be happy to create an annotated workspace to illustrate the process, but it would be helpful to have a sample of the source data to start from and test with.
