The GPS delivers its time in UTC, which is five hours ahead of North American Daylight Central Time. So a if you have a GPS point that was taken at 10.00 in Central North America it will have a UTC timestamp of 15.00. If you use a DateTimeCalculator to subtract 5 hours you get back to 10.00.
