Hi there,

This is a follow up question to one I asked last year around the FTPCaller transformer:

Our security team granted a 12 month exemption to our FME workspace and have asked for an update on the issue.

Is there any change in the ability of the FTPCaller transformer to be able to view or configuring the cryptographic algorithms used?

Thank you,
Jonathan

To my knowledge and reading over the go to article, FME can authenticate to sFTP using two options

putty/pageant generating of private/public key exchange

open SSH

Thanks for the reply, @j.botterill.

Authentication is not an issue here, as we have authentication working fine using OpenSSH for Windows ssh-agent.

The question is instead around the cryptographic algorithms on the SFTP connection itself, whether they can be configured explicitly for the FTPCaller transformer, or at least viewed within FME.

If you can’t find anything on the parameters nor the help, then its a support question for Safe https://support.safe.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
