What does the term "FME orchestrator" mean?

Data orchestration is the process of integrating two or more applications and/or services together to automate a process.

 

 

I presume FME orchestrator means the FME (Server) is the tool being used for the integration, though I would have to see the words in context to be certain.

I suspect each orchestrator is the set of workspaces/subscriptions/notifications/connections etc required to process the model.

Looking at the slide it's most probably not something coming from Safe, and I can't remember ever seeing the term "FME Orchestrator" being used in official FME marketing. So my reply would be that you'd have to ask the author of the slides about the exact meaning.

That said, I completely agree with @jdh on the interpretation.

Yep, we've never used that term ourselves...
