Is the naming of EPSG 29903 incorrect? On the website https://epsg.io/ , EPSG:29903 is labelled as TM75/ Irish Grid. Whereas within FME EPSG:29903 is labelled as TM65 (See below). I understand the epsg.io is correct (but I may be wrong). Thanks for the help.

Hi @bjudes,

According to Ordnance Survey Ireland, there is no difference between TM65 and TM75 - they use the same ‘1965 Datum' geodetic datum based on the ‘Ireland 1975 Mapping Adjustment'. However, EPSG seems to think there is a difference, and so has assigned codes for both TM65 and TM75.

In FME, we try to conform to the defining authority for coordinate systems, and so map both 29902 and 29903 to Ireland1965.ING.

Thanks @daveatsafe

I was under the impression that TM65 was xy and that TM75 was xyz. Maybe I am wrong, I am not an expert.

Thanks
