Hi there,

The MRF2DCleaner plugin for FME Desktop contains some very interesting transformers. I am however, having a hard time finding the link for a trial or full version download. Where can I find that?

I've already reached out to the sales people of MRF but they answered that I should ask safe for the prices and download.

Can anyone shed some light on the origin and availability of this plugin.

Cheers

Rolf

Hi @rhcb,

You can access the trial for the MRF2DCleaner here: https://www.safe.com/transformers/mrf2d-cleaner/ and select 'Try it Free in FME Desktop'. This will take you to the trial download page, once you have completed the form you should expect an email with the trial code by end of day which you can then upload using the FME Licensing Assistant.

Hi @hollyatsafe,

This link brings me to the download for fme desktop. I already have FME desktop and a home edition license. My question is how I can get licensed to be able to use the suite of MRF2Dcleaner transformers. Can you shed light on this?

Cheers

Rolf

Hi @rhcb,

The link should lead you to a request page for an FME Desktop Evaluation License, the eval license we offer includes the MRF2DCleaner functionality, likely the current edition you have does not so by filling in the form you will be sent a trial code to an edition which does have access to the MRF2DCleaner.

Dear Holly,

It baffles me that I need an FME Desktop Evaluation License to obtain MRF2DCleaner functionality when I already have a FME Professional Edition license. It feels like I should downgrade my license to get more functionality. That can't be right?

Hi @rhcb,

The MRF2DCleaner functionality is available for the FME Professional Edition or higher but it is an additional plugin at an extra cost (https://www.safe.com/transformers/matrix/). The Evaluation just includes these extra transformers for users to trial before purchasing.

Please be aware that our licenses stack so this trial isn't replacing your permanent license, the eval just runs alongside the permanent license and gives the added functionality for a temporary duration.

Since you have an existing license if you would prefer you can contact your account manager or to request a plug-in only file instead of the full eval but both should allow you to trial the transformer.

If you need anymore information about pricing then your account manager would also be the best person to reach out to.
