Since I use 2017.1 DataInspector I find myself struggling with rectangular selection of area/polygon features (2D).

I use the "circled i with black arrow" cursor, click into an area and get the polygon/area feature selected. fine so far

As I see there is more than one area on top of each other, I drag a small rectangle in order to select all features in that area. This used to work well for years.

Now many times I don't get the area/polygon selected where I dragged the rectangle, but a neighboring/surrounding one. This is very frustrating. :-(

Any hints if I got something wrong, or is it a bug in FME 2017.1 ?

Michael

Hi Michael if you look at the feature information you will probably see that there are more features selected even though they are not selected on the view.

That may well be the case. What I don't like is if features are selected where I didn't drag and those features where I dragged the rectangle are not selected.
