Hi, I'm trying to convert DWG to IFC and have figured the first part but the output doesn't seem to work as I only end up with a 2kb empty file. Can anyone help? It would be great to see a step-by-step as I'm new to the software.

By any chance have you seen the AutoCAD to IFC Conversion Example article? The linked article includes a template workspace, sample data, and outlines the required components for writing to IFC (i.e. ifcBuildingStorey, ifcSpace, etc.).
