When clicking on the icon with the magnifying glass, the data is not displayed in the visual preview. The user has to click once more on this icon to get the data source.

Hi @nono,
I believe this behavior is expected with inspecting writer feature types. I've noticed this before that right after running a translation, if the writer feature type is already selected/highlighted, the inspect button is greyed at first so you need to click the canvas and then back to the feature type to view the output. I can't speak for what's happening in the backend, but I imagine it's like refreshing the button to point at the destination file that was just written.
