Arithmatic in Tester transformer, syntax? wrong approach?

Hello...

So I trying to run a multi criteria test on some data.

the first 2 criteria and simple column = xxxxxxxxx

The third criteria is a arithmatic query that I use in arcgis.

Here is what I though might work:

=((@Value(SWIFT_LOAD)-@Value(Permit_License_Date))<30)

I am returning no passing values and I know for a fact due to my arcgis map that there a a few hundred returns.

Any ideas? Shpould I not use the tester to peform this part?

I am very new to FME (a few weeks)
