AreaGapAndOverlapCleaner - changing boundaries where no gap or overlap

Trying to understand how the AreaGapAndOverlapCleaner works. 

Set to Fill All Gaps No and Repair Method Priority (Edge Preserving) with a tolerance of 1m

So why does it change the boundary of this polygon where it neither overlaps or is a gap (it’s the edge of coverage)
