Question

Add new Custom Symbols to style a MapInfo table

I was wondering how to add Custom Symbols so that I could use it in FME workbench to style a MapInfo table. I have a folder with .bmp images that I want to use. I'm using FME 2019. I've tried copying the folder to Program Files/FME/mapinfo/Custom symbols but it didn't work. Any ideas?

That does appear to be the correct spot and when I do that my custom symbol does appear in the list. Have you restarted FME since you copied the bmp's?

@redgeographics Yes I have. I've now managed to copy it across and FME is recognising the symbols, however if I use them for styling, the MapInfo table doesn't pick it up and displays black rectangles instead (even though I added the custom symbols into MapInfo too). Do you have any suggestions on what can be going wrong?
