Hi All,

We are in the process of procurment of FME software for validating 3D data, (validating tools for finding errors like gaps, flipped surfaces, box-in-box, in correct geometry etc.,).Could you please suggest which edition of FME will fulfill our requirements.

Hi,

Since the validation will take place using the transformers, a professional edition (and above) would be my choice.

For more info about FME editions, see

I would also consider purchasing the MFR transformers set.

Hope this helps,

Itay

You should also go for the 2013 version of FME (released soon) as it contains many improvements related to 3D-data. I agree with Itay that a fME Professional license would be best suited for you - unless you need to take advantage of some specific database environments.

To see which file-formats are supported on which FME - versions you can look it up here: http://www.safe.com/fme/format-search/
