The sorting of posts in the new profile ?

The posts created in the new community is sorted latest-first, which makes sense (and is consistent with the old community) because latest are typically more relevant.

But when I click on "View more" to see the old (and migrated) posts, they come in a random order.

Would it be possible to set the sorting timestamp on these to be equal to the original posting date (or last comment/answer, if that's more correct) ?

Cheers

Lars

That's very odd. I'm not sure I see this. When I click "View More" then the posts it reveals are still in date order. I made a quick video of what happens for me: https://www.screencast.com/t/hqZCTM0n

Is this not what happens for you? Does the Sort By option at the top of the page change when you do this? Or am I clicking a different button to you?

Tagging @brianatsafe and @mark2atsafe to make sure they see this.

Hi Mark.

Ah, the sort order. I didn't know it was there. It was preset to "most recent activity". When I set it to "latest post", the posts sorted correctly. Thanks.

But my secondary question then is, why does posts from 2016 suddenly show up when sorted by "most recent activity" ? I haven't revisited those posts.

Cheers

Lars

There will be other activity on that question. For example this one was asked in 2018, but it appears second in the list of authoring questions today, because Holly's answer was edited this week.

In Chrome the experience is a bit different. After you clicked "View More" and the extra results are added, you keep seeing the bottom of the page. This way you have to scroll up again to find the previous last post and look from there. In FireFox it works like @mark2atsafe recorded.
