Manage workspace parameter default values in FME Server

When I run a job or create a schedule in FME Server, the workspace parameters are populated as they were when the workspace was saved in Desktop. When I want to change such a 'default parameter' (eg. path changes, email changes, carre centre openings/closes, etc) the update requires the cycle of download the workspace - change it - re-upload. The same with private parameters (that I set to private because I don't want users to change it). I also use these default values to make the workspace URLs short, preferably no URL parameters at all (so users don't need to bother with things, just click the link)

The overriding/management of these 'default' parameters (all private, public and FME Server related ones) in FME Server would be really handy.

A nice extra would be to set different defaults per service or even per security groups. Eg. download service fail notifications could come to me and streaming service fails to web team, too.

I can see the use-case for this feature – and I think it would be amazing if, in addition, the FME Server web interface had a very, very lightweight version of FME Workbench to allow for simple edits of a workspace. Perhaps it could be limited to only adding certain (basic) transformers, enabling/disabling objects, and modifying existing Published Parameter values. (What I describe here is quite possible a separate idea altogether...)

As long as we are talking FME Server Parameter Default Values, my suggestion is the following....

FME Server is designed to allow multiple users access to the same tool to run ad-hoc as needed. Right now (as of 07/05/2018) a Workspace retains the last parameter values used per individual. What I mean by this is, the parameter values I see will be those that I last used, not what you last used.

This should be a Personal "Preference" setting. Instead, by default, FME Server Workspaces should automatically reset to the default values established in the creation/publish of the Workspace. Otherwise, what is the point of allowing the author to create default values.
